Lancashire County Council
We have been fortunate to receive funding from Lancashire County Council through the Gateway Grants
scheme for the past eight years.
We are currently waiting to see if this funding will continue.
Big Lottery Fund
Every year BIG gives out millions of pounds from the National Lottery to good causes. Our money goes to community groups and to projects that improve health, education and the environment.
In 2009 we made a successful application to the Big Lottery for funding for a 3 year project.
The outcomes for this project are as follows:
Improve representation of the views of VCS communities supporting BME communities in Lancashire through increasing the membership of the LBME Pact to 70 members from the current 34.
Establish improved outreach services with better general infrastructure support, enabling 70 organisations to access information, training and other LBME Pact support.
70 BME organisations will have improved organisational systems and governance, supported by a LBME Pact review, training, advice and support.
LBME Pact will share good practice with the LBME Pact members and act as spokesperson for their needs, ensuring the views of the sector are heard across the region and sub-region and effect communication and dialogue between all parties.
